Why people signed the Charter

To remind myself and others about the ways that food is important to so many aspects of our lives in the community, and that the ways we produce and access food impact the wellbeing of all people, and all of the environment.

My hope is that my children and children in our communities grow up in a peaceful and inclusive safe world, where everyone has access to the food they need and want to flourish and thrive.

We need policy that directs our municipal government, local institutions, and businesses to make smart decisions regarding food that supports all levels of society and advances real action on food sovereignty.
